NOTICE OF FILING FOR THE 2026

 STATE GENERAL ELECTION

Notice is hereby given, as provided in Minnesota Statutes, that a general election will be held in Cook County on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. 

The filing period for these offices begins at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2026, and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026

Candidates for the following offices file with the Cook County Auditor, Courthouse, Grand Marais, Minnesota:

Hospital Board:  $2 Filing Fee

One Hospital Board Member, District 1, incumbent Patty Winchell-Dahl

One Hospital Board Member, District 3, incumbent Steven Frykman

One Hospital Board Member, District 5, incumbent Randy Wiitala
