May North Shore Living Newsletter

North Shore Living News Letter

The residents of North Shore Living have been enjoying an active and eventful May and early June. With the arrival of warmer weather, we have made it a priority to spend more time out in the community and enjoying the outdoors.

Every other week, residents have been visiting the HUB to participate in a few of the exercise classes. These outings provide an opportunity to stay active, socialize, and enjoy a cup of coffee or delicious meal together afterward. We would like to extend a thank you to the HUB for welcoming us and to Arrowhead Transit for providing transportation to and from the senior center.

Residents also enjoyed a visit to the Johnson Heritage Art Gallery, where they were able to stroll or roll through the gallery and admire the work of local artists. It was a wonderful opportunity to experience the creativity and talent within our community. Thank you to the staff at the gallery who helped show residents the art work and for having us.

In early May, we welcomed family and friends to celebrate Mother’s Day. The care center was decorated with a floral theme, featuring fresh flowers on every table. Residents were even able to take bouquets back to their rooms to enjoy. Our kitchen staff prepared a special Mother’s Day brunch complete with festive beverages that were very refreshing.

As the weather continues to improve, we have been making great use of our outdoor patio space. Residents have enjoyed activities such as Garden Club, morning stretches, and outdoor cookouts. On Memorial Day, residents and staff gathered for an afternoon cookout of grilled food, lawn games, and music. While also honoring those that sacrificed everything.

We are looking forward to another cookout to celebrate all the Dads on Father’s Day, featuring Italian sausage, hamburgers, watermelon, and other summertime favorites.

If you happen to see us outside on the patio, please feel free to stop by, wave, or give us a friendly honk. We always enjoy connecting with our neighbors and community members!
