North Shore Health will host Fall Prevention Day on Wednesday, September 23, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cook County Community Center. North Shore Health and various community organizations to provide older adults with information, resources and screenings designed to help prevent falls and support safe, independent living at home. The free event will give community members an opportunity to connect with local experts, identify potential fall risks and learn practical strategies for staying healthy, active and safely at home.
The event is especially encouraged for individuals who are:
- Age 65 or older
- Living at home
- Concerned about falling
- Interested in remaining in their home safely and independently for as long as possible
North Shore Health encourages older adults, family members and caregivers to take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about fall prevention and ways to support safe, independent living at home.
