North Shore Living is a 37-bed nursing home that shares the North Shore Health campus in Grand Marais, MN. We offer spacious private rooms with private bathrooms as well as shared resident kitchens, dining spaces, living rooms, resident laundry and a rehab exercise room. Residents are encouraged to make their living space feel like their own home. Residents also have access to a variety of outdoor spaces, including a secure courtyard and a serenity garden.  Conveniently situated on the North Shore Health campus, residents have easy access to all hospital outpatient services, such as laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and physical and occupational therapy departments.

North Shore Living is staffed by an experienced team of RNs, LPNs, and Nursing Assistants 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Our direct-care providers are trained to address a wide range of needs, from skilled geriatric care to short-term rehabilitation care. Residents receive compassionate and attentive care in a cozy and comfortable setting. Staff work hard to empower residents to actively participate in their care. Our goal is to foster a partnership between providers, residents and their families. Team members in dietary, housekeeping, and activities are dedicated to enhancing the daily lives of our residents along with the other caregivers.

At North Shore Living, we are committed to caring for the whole individual. We host a variety of activities that allow resident to socialize, continue to practice hobbies they enjoy, and/or try something new.

Visitors are welcomed and valued at North Shore Living. Per the end of the public health emergency (PHE) and changes of CDC/MDH guidelines, as of 6:00 a.m. on May 17, 2023, masks no longer need to be worn in standard healthcare settings. This includes the Hospital and the Care Center. Masks are now optional in the Hospital and the Care Center.
